Manaslu Circuit & Tsum Valley trek into Trekking Nepal (part of the Inner Himalaya) newly opened areas of Nepal taking hikes up-close to the eighth highest mountain in the world takes us to the East of Manaslu trail. It is a trek in the world remotest Himalayan valley. This valley is an untouched hidden heritage of Nepal. Tsum valley is a place that is full of Himalayan pilgrimage on its trail. To reach this trail we need to visit the northern Gorkha district of Nepal. There are lots of heritage sites that one can imagine.
While exploring Manaslu Valley trek we will explore a different set of cultures. Tsum Valley is close to the Tibetan border and influenced by Tibetan culture. The Tsum Valley is rich in cultural assets. The valley is full of gompas (Buddhist monasteries), chortens and mani walls. The longest mani walls (over 250m) are at Dzong and Phurpe.
Manaslu Tsum Valley trek let us explore the wild and unexplored region. We will trek in the valley of the Budhi Gandaki River with Gurung ethnic groups. Upper Tsum valley (part of the Inner Himalaya) opens from Chhokangparo. Here local people (Tsombo”) welcome you with traditional Tibetan Chiya and local meals. The valley preserves the steps of the great Buddhist Yogi Chyuchin Milarepa. This place also holds the story about Guru Padmasambhava circumambulation.
On this Manaslu Tsum Valley trail, we can see their different kind of culture. This valley has its own tradition, & dialect which is unique in its own way. Some of the festivals include Lhosar, Saka Dawa, Fanning, Dhadhang & others. The Manaslu Tsum Valley trek also offers one with panoramic views of Himalayas. We will see Buddha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south, and Shringi Himal to the North.

Today we will visit some of the historical and cultural sites. Later in the evening, a short briefing about Manaslu Tsum Valley trek.
From Kathmandu, we take a bus or a jeep to drive to Arughat. A
We will follow the Budhi Gandaki River and pass through different villages. We spend the night in Soti Khola.
From Soti Khola, we cross a bridge and trek through thick sal forests to reach a ridge above Budhi Gandaki River. We will cross a sandy river bed with a suspension bridge.
Today we follow the trail up and down to reach Machchha Khola. We will cross Thado Khola and climb a staircase to reach Doban.
From the west bank of the river, we climb over a ridge and along the river climb to a village called Jagat. The trail continues up to Ghatta Khola and climbs to a suspension bridge that leads to Phillim.
The trek begins as we turn north from the village and travel on a leveled path that leads to Ekle Bhatti. We enter a steep gorge and cross the river several times. After crossing Deng Khola, we reach the village of Deng at an elevation of 1800 meters.
A short walk from Deng, we cross the Budhi Gandaki river and keep climbing to meet a trail from Bhi. After a while, we take a turn towards a corner that takes us to Ghap.
Today we enjoy the mesmerizing views of Siringi Himal. We keep walking past the forest and a narrow gorge till the trail ascends to reach Namrung. We continue on to reach the village of Lho.
While having breathtaking we enjoy the views of Manaslu. We start our trek towards Sama Gaun. As we continue on, we finally reach Sama Gaun.
Samagaon is a beautiful village as houses with nice courtyards are all along the river. After the fun detour, we return back to Samagaon which takes about 3 hours.
The trek meets the Larkya La trail and continues as the valley widens. We reach a stone arch from where we can see Kani, after crossing that we finally reach Samdo.
Today, we cross Budhi Gandaki again over a wooden bridge and start an upward hike. After the short trek, we have enough time to rest and acclimatize.
From Dharmashala, we make a short climb to reach a valley on the north side of Larkya glacier. We ascend the steep moraine of a glacier before we reach the Larkya pass. As we pass through low pastures, it is already evening by the time we reach Bhimtang. Manaslu looming nearby.
From Bhimtang, we descend and cross a high pasture called Sangure Bhanjyang. We pass through rhododendron forests and narrow valleys. After a short distance, we reach the village of Gho. Chorten-shaped arc and Mani walls show us the way to Thonje village.
We pass through some Mani walls on the trail; we reach the village of Tal. As we go on following Marsyangdi river bank, we finally reach Jagat.
From Jagat, we continue our trek along Marsyangdi River to reach Syange. We then pass through waterfalls and cultivated lands on our trail to reach Bahun danda. We finally reach Besi Sahar.
From Besi Sahar, we drive back to Kathmandu. We will enjoy the scenic route with views of hills, terraced fields, and houses.
