Upon arrival, meet and assist by a Parikrama Treks representative and transfer to the hotel. Later, take a short ride around the hotel premises to check the condition of the bikes. In the evening, attend a Adventure Riding Upper Mustang briefing along with the crew.
Start the Adventure Riding Upper Mustang early in the morning, navigating through heavy traffic for the initial 25 km. Enjoy a scenic ride along the river, passing Nepal’s first cable car service uphill. Marvel at the view of Machhapuchre before reaching Pokhara around mid-afternoon. Check into a hotel, unwind with a chilled beer by the lake, and have dinner at one of the finest lakeside restaurants.
Leave Pokhara after breakfast and ride to Kalopani. Be cautious of potholes as the road is being expanded to four lanes. Admire the views of Fishtail mountain and experience the off-road conditions with dust. Fuel top-up at Beni and lunch stop at Tatopani, Annapurna Hotel. Continue to Kalopani, check into the Kalopani Guest House, and enjoy the spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri. Take an early morning walk through Kalopani village.
After breakfast, ride to Kagbeni, the entry point of Upper Mustang. Pass through the scenic Marpha village and register the permit in Jomsom. Enjoy coffee at OM’s HOME with a view of Mt. Nilgiri. Reach Kagbeni, check into a hotel, and take a quick ride to Muktinath for panoramic mountain views. Return to Kagbeni for lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
Start the ride to Charang Village after breakfast, passing through Yak herders villages and enjoying the scenery along the Kali Gandaki river beds. Lunch at Syangboche and continue to Charang Village. Check into Maya’s Inn, explore the village, visit Charang Fort, and have dinner and breakfast of your choice.
After breakfast, start the ride to Lo Manthang, the walled city with a high pass. Enjoy magnificent views and explore the city in the afternoon. Check into guest house and have the evening to explore ancient monasteries, a photo gallery, and the Tibetan Medicine museum. This is the main destination of our Adventure Riding Upper Mustang where you can also be part of Tiji Festival.
Leave Lo Manthang around 9:00 am, ride to Korola Pass, and visit Choser Sky Caves on the way back. Enjoy the spectacular mountain views and return to Lo Manthang for dinner and breakfast of your choice.
Ride back to Marpha covering two days’ distance in one day. Stop for tea at Sangboche and lunch at Lo Ghami. Check into a hotel in Marpha, an apple orchard, and have dinner and breakfast of your choice.
Start the return ride around 9:00 am, continue to Kalopani Guest House for lunch, and then ride 20km more to Tatopani. Check into a simple guest house, soak in the natural hot spring nearby, and enjoy dinner and breakfast of your choice.
After breakfast, ride back to Pokhara using the same road, and stop at Kusma to see the three longest and deepest suspension bridges of Nepal. Enjoy lunch and continue the ride to Pokhara. Check into a hotel in Pokhara.
Start the journey back to Kathmandu around 8:00 am. Make stops at Highway for coffee and lunch. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check into the hotel, and go for a celebration dinner in the evening.
End of Adventure Riding Upper Mustang. Check out by 12 PM.
