The ascent mirrors the famed Everest Base Camp trail, leading to the pinnacle viewpoint of Kala Patthar. The Ascent to Imja Tse:

Today we will have a sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. We will visit Swayambhunath, Bauddhanath, and Pashupatinath. We have a short briefing about Island Peak Climbing in the evening.
Early morning we visit the domestic terminal from our flight to Lukla. Meet with Island Peak Climbing crew wating at the airport. We begin our trek heading up the Dudh Kosi Valley on a well-marked trail.
After a good breakfast, we set out for the mountain junction town of Namche. Namche is the main trading village in the Khumbu region. Namche offers us with the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest.
Today we enjoy our hike with the superb view of Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam. We will also get a close-up view of Thamserku. Tengboche has the biggest Buddhist Monastery all over in the Khumbu region.
We descend downhill through a forest before crossing Imja Khola. Later we ascend to reach Pangboche. A further two hours walk brings us to Pheriche where we bunk out for the night.
This is a day to rest, acclimatize, and give our weary bones a breather.
We continue up the wide valley beneath the impressive peaks of Cholatse and Tawache on the left. The path then climbs along the glacier, to reach the cluster of houses at Lobuche.
Today it’s a long and gritty day. We climb through meadows and moraine stones steps to reach Gorakshep. You can either climb to Kala Patthar or continue heading to Everest base camp.
Today we will wake up in the early morning and hike up to Kalapatthar. Once we are at Kalapatthar, you can have the nose touching view of Mount Everest. Later we follow our trail to Dingboche.
Today we will head towards Island Peak base camp following the Imja valley. The trek won’t be too nasty as you can enjoy the view of Ama Dablam and Lhotse.
Today is the main day of our trek. After we reach the summit, we will enjoy the views and take pictures. Later we descend back to Chukkung.
Today we will be marching back to Namche.
This is our last day on these lovely mountains that have been home to us all.
We say good bye to the Island Peak Climbing crew members and take a morning flights from Lukla to avoid the strong winds.
