Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted by a Parikrama Treks representative. Transfer to the hotel. A short briefing about Gokyo Chola Pass Trek in the evening.
Enjoy a scenic 30-minute flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Upon reaching Lukla meet with the team and get ready for Gokyo Chola Pass Trek. We start this trek by following the trail of Everest Base Camp Trek to Phakding via Chaurikharka and Chheplung.
Early in the morning after breakfast, trek to the Sherpa capital. Walk through Monju, Banker, and Jorasalle villages. Take a two and a half hours uphill hike to reach Namche Bazaar, where you can catch the first glimpse of Everest.
Begin with a steep one-hour climb to the Tengboche airstrip (3790m). From here, ascend towards Khunde, passing many Chorten and hill stations. Khumjung is a small settlement of the Sherpa community.
Continue trekking to Dole by following the same route to Base camp until Sanasa. Then ascend to Mongla (4000m). Trek through rhododendron and birch forests adorned with hanging mosses and lichens.
After Dole, the trek leads along with small and thorny bushes. Ahead, enjoy excellent views of Cho Oyu, while back down the valley are the peaks of Kantega and Thamserku.
After Machhermo, the trek leads over a scenic path to Pangka. Climb a steep rocky incline into the valley by the side of the glacier, passing the first of the holy lakes. Walk by the side of the lake to arrive at Gokyo village.
Optionally, discover the 5th lake on your day trip, or hike to Gokyo Ridge for a splendid view of the tallest Himalayas within a 360-degree angle.
Descend from the Gokyo Valley to Thagnak valley. The village is below a small cliff.
Leave Thagnag, and see Cho La Pass at 5,420m/17,778 feet above sea level. Ascend to make an attempt at Cho La (5,420m), then descend to Dzongla.
Leave Dzongla, ascend 20 minutes, and follow the path to Lobuche village.
After breakfast, conduct the journey to Everest Base Camp. Pass the last lodges of Gorakshep. Hike to Everest Base Camp and return to Gorakshep.
Early morning, hike from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar for a viewpoint. Enjoy views of Everest, Mt Pumori, Khumbetse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Descend to Pheriche village.
Visit the research center and trek to Tengboche Monastery. Enjoy a splendid view of Ama Dablam, green hills, and pristine rivers.
Descend from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar, passing several villages. Arrive in Namche Bazaar in the late afternoon.
Trek to Lukla following the same trail used on the ascent. Upon arrival in Lukla, get refreshed and take rest.
Finally we finish our Gokyo Chola Pass Trek by boarding a flight bakc to Kathmandu. We take a early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
