Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Upon arrival meet and assist by Parikrama Treks representative. Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today we will have cultural and historical sightseeing. We will provide a short briefing about Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking.

Day 03: Drive to Bhulbule. Trek to Ngadi (950 m/ 2 hrs)

Early morning we catch a bus from Kathmandu to Bulbule, 850m. We will have an easy and flat hike to reach Nagdi, the beautiful flowered village where we will spend the night.

Day 04: Trek Nagdi to Jagat (1300 m/5.30 hrs)

Today we ascend through terraced fields until we reach Bahudanda crest. We descend to Syange Bazar where we cross the Marsyandi River. We take a suspension bridge before reaching Jagat.

Day 05: Trek Jagat to Dharapani (2000 m/5 hrs)

You’ll experience a breathtaking view of Manaslu, one of the fourteen 8,000m peaks. We enter in Buddhist land with villages that have more of a Tibetan flavor.

Day 06: Trek Dharapani to Koto (2600 m/5 hrs)

Today, the Annapurna range will go with us along our trail. We’ll have a great view of Manaslu and Annapurna.

Day 07: Trek Koto to Pisang (3300 m/5 hrs)

Today, we’ll follow a charming trail through the pine forest. On arrival in Pisang, we can visit the old monastery facing the Annapurna range. We’ll also view the Pisang Peak and the Chulus.

Day 08: Trek Pisang to Braga (3300 m/ 7 hrs)

We’ll ascend the high route via the traditional villages of Ngawal and Gyaru. We’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Annapurnas, the great barrier, and Tilicho peak.

Day 09: Trek Braga to Khangsar (3750m/ 4hrs)

Today we start the day with the visit of Braga monastery, the oldest of the entire valley. We take a short and easy walk to Khangsar village where we stay for acclimatization.

Day 10: Tilicho Base Camp Trek (4200 m/ 7 hrs)

Today, Annapurna III and Gangapurna will go with us on our travels. We have a steep climb on a tiny trail. From the Lodge, we have stunning views of the Annapurna range, the Great Barrier, and Tilicho Peak.

Day 11: Rest day at Tilicho base camp (4200 m/6-7 hrs)

From the lodge, we ascend to reach the highest lake in Nepal (4900 m) with its turquoise clear water.

Day 12: Trek Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4100 m/3 hrs)

Vegetation is becoming scarce. We leave the wide open valley to enter a mineral landscape.

Day 13: Phedi High Camp Trek (4400 m/ 3.30 hrs)

Today we have an easy and slow ascent as we remain at the foot of the Thorong Pass. We walk one more hour to reach the high camp. Tomorrow, it is a big day.

Day 14: Trek High Camp to Jharkot (3900 m/10 hrs)

We will set off very early to cross Thorong pass 55415 m). You’ll leave behind the Annapurna range and cross the pass into the Mustang region.

Day 15: Trek Jharkot toThinagaon (2850 m/ 6 hrs)

We’ll take an alternative lesser-known trail, via a small pass. We will visit Bon monastery. After lunch, we walk in the wide Kali Gandaki gorge to reach Thinigaon.

Day 16: Trek Thinagaon to Tukuche (2600 m/5 hrs)

We walk towards the holy lake of Dhumba and we visit the attached Katsetemba Gompa.

Day 17: Trek Tukuche to Jomsom (2700 m/2.30 hrs)

We walk up the Kali Gandaki River where we make a stop to the picturesque village of Marpha. We walk on a flat trail to spend our last night on the mountain.

Day 18: Flight back to Pokhara (900 m)

We take a scenic flight to Pokhara for 25 min. We will get incredible vistas of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri mountains.

Day 19 Flight back to Kathmandu (1300 m / 40min)

Drive to airport and flight to Kathmandu. You will get stunning views of the Annapurna range.

Day 20: Departure

Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking Journey ends.
