Today we will have cultural and historical sightseeing. We will provide a short briefing about Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking.
Early morning we catch a bus from Kathmandu to Bulbule, 850m. We will have an easy and flat hike to reach Nagdi, the beautiful flowered village where we will spend the night.
Today we ascend through terraced fields until we reach Bahudanda crest. We descend to Syange Bazar where we cross the Marsyandi River. We take a suspension bridge before reaching Jagat.
You’ll experience a breathtaking view of Manaslu, one of the fourteen 8,000m peaks. We enter in Buddhist land with villages that have more of a Tibetan flavor.
Today, the Annapurna range will go with us along our trail. We’ll have a great view of Manaslu and Annapurna.
Today, we’ll follow a charming trail through the pine forest. On arrival in Pisang, we can visit the old monastery facing the Annapurna range. We’ll also view the Pisang Peak and the Chulus.
We’ll ascend the high route via the traditional villages of Ngawal and Gyaru. We’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Annapurnas, the great barrier, and Tilicho peak.
Today we start the day with the visit of Braga monastery, the oldest of the entire valley. We take a short and easy walk to Khangsar village where we stay for acclimatization.
Today, Annapurna III and Gangapurna will go with us on our travels. We have a steep climb on a tiny trail. From the Lodge, we have stunning views of the Annapurna range, the Great Barrier, and Tilicho Peak.
From the lodge, we ascend to reach the highest lake in Nepal (4900 m) with its turquoise clear water.
Vegetation is becoming scarce. We leave the wide open valley to enter a mineral landscape.
Today we have an easy and slow ascent as we remain at the foot of the Thorong Pass. We walk one more hour to reach the high camp. Tomorrow, it is a big day.
We will set off very early to cross Thorong pass 55415 m). You’ll leave behind the Annapurna range and cross the pass into the Mustang region.
We’ll take an alternative lesser-known trail, via a small pass. We will visit Bon monastery. After lunch, we walk in the wide Kali Gandaki gorge to reach Thinigaon.
We walk towards the holy lake of Dhumba and we visit the attached Katsetemba Gompa.
We walk up the Kali Gandaki River where we make a stop to the picturesque village of Marpha. We walk on a flat trail to spend our last night on the mountain.
We take a scenic flight to Pokhara for 25 min. We will get incredible vistas of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri mountains.
Drive to airport and flight to Kathmandu. You will get stunning views of the Annapurna range.
