Trip Overview

Chelila Nature trek is one of the difficult treks in Bhutan. On this trek, we will reach the highest road point of Bhutan. Chelia Pass is about 4000 m above sea level. Reaching a top offers us with spectacular mountains views. Some of this peal includes Mt Jomolhari, Jitchu Drake, Tshering Gang.

Chelila Nature Trek follows the trail through the primula and rhododendron trail. You will feel the power and unparalleled beauty of the majestic Himalayas. On this trek, you will also visit some of the best sightseeing destinations. Such sites include Paro Taktshang (Tiger’s Lair) and Tashichhodzong (seat of governance). We will also visit Drukgyel Dzong (Castle of the Victorious Drukpa).  Furthermore, we will visit Kyichu Lhakhang (one of Bhutan’s oldest monastery).

This Chelila Nature Trek is a delightful trek on the natural habitat. You will also see different kinds of flora and fauna. To do this trek one needs to be fit. You also need to bring your own basic gear. Such gears include trekking shoes, waterproof clothes, rucksacks, etc.

This is the only place you can see the Ha valley. This is a place forbidden to all tourists. On the other side of the ridge, you can see the Paro valley. Continue to follow the ridge and visit the Kyili Monastery.
