This trek takes us to the high base camp on the Annapurna Range and Ghorepani poon hill trekking. Mardi base camp trekking is a new trekking trail around the Annapurna Mountain range. This is a combination of cultural heritage and an easy peak climbing experience.
It is a new Eco trekking in the Annapurna region. This trek is ideal for those people who want to trek in the off the beaten trails with no tourist around. This is also referred to as the shortest trip to the base camp of Mardi Himal, in the Annapurna Mountain range.
This Trek is often referred to as the Ghorepani Poonhill trek. Annapurna Mardi Himal Trek takes us to high and low camp to experience the best views of the Annapurna. The whole trek goes through some easy terrain. So physical conditions are not very important unlike other high altitude treks.
The trail goes through settlements of different ethnic groups. You will also see paddy fields and cross some lovely streams. The trial also offers a magnificent view of the mountains such as fishtail, Annapurna. Annapurna South and other peaks’ views are also seen on this trip.
This is a moderate trek where you see much more than doing a challenging trek. As the name itself suggests, the Annapurna Mardi Himal Trek is an Annapurna View Point Trek. It amidst the Annapurna Mountain Range in Central Nepal.

After breakfast, we will drive or take a flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful city full of lakes and mountain views.
The trek starts from Nayapul which is 45 minutes drive from Pokhara. We start walking amidst the sub-tropical valley forests. After walking past Tikhedhunga we will reach the base of the hill. It leads us to our first stop for the night. We need to climb around 3500 steps up the hill to reach this beautiful village.
After breakfast, we start our walk that leads to the famed Rhododendrons forest. From here you can also have a glimpse of the Annapurna South that hides by a ridge of mountains. We walk past tiny villages of Banthanti and Nangethanti to reach Ghorepani.
Early morning we will hike for 45 minutes to reach Poonhill (3210m). It will give us the view of a magnificent new sun rising over the Manaslu range. After breakfast, we leave behind Ghorepani and hike through the colorful rhododendron forest.
The trail descends through a subtropical forest highlighted by huge bamboo massifs. On our way, we will enjoy the majestic and magnificent Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range. If you time and body feel to move further then you can climb up to Tolka for an hour. From here can see a loop of the valley and can be the shorter for the next morning.
Along the way, we walk past deciduous vegetation. Two of the highest mountains Dhaulagiri and Annapurna walk together on this trail.
Our day starts after the warm breakfast served at the forest camp. Although the walk today is not very long since it is steep and in some places difficult to climb. We will take our time and try to reach the high camp by the late afternoon. Going slow and steady helps to do the trek with more enjoyment.
Today is the most exciting day of the trip as we are climbing up to the base camp of Mardi Himal. This is also the most challenging part of the trek as the trail is small and difficult to walk in some places.
We start walking after breakfast and head towards Lumre. Our vehicle will pick us up and drive us back to Pokhara, which takes an hour.

After a nice breakfast get to know more about the city by enjoying city sightseeing. We visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath
