Riding Upper Mustang Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel and check in. Meet with your crew and enjoy an introduction to Adventure Riding Upper Mustang tour, including a briefing about the route, safety measures, and travel tips. Afterward, take a short test ride to familiarize yourself with the bike. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore Kathmandu’s vibrant streets, markets, and temples. Visit Thamel for some local shopping or a casual walk around Durbar Square.

Day 02: Ride Kathmandu to Pokhara (810 m) Approx. 210 km | 7 hours

Depart from Kathmandu early in the morning to avoid city traffic. The route takes you through the picturesque countryside, with views of the Annapurna range, including the stunning Fish Tail Mountain (Machapuchare). Along the way, pass through charming towns and villages that offer glimpses of rural Nepalese life. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel by the serene Phewa Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking mountain views. As you ascend through the Kali Gandaki Gorge, marvel at views of towering peaks like Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, and Nilgiri. Day 07: Ride Lo-Manthang to Marpha (2,840 m) Approx. 125 km | 8 hours

Leaving Lo Manthang, ride towards Marpha, a picturesque village renowned for its apple orchards and apple-based products. The road to Marpha takes you through more stunning mountain scenery, and upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the sweet aroma of apples in the air. Marpha is known for its apples and locally made apple brandy, which you can sample during your visit. The village is also home to charming whitewashed houses and a peaceful atmosphere. Take time to relax and explore the town’s quaint streets and serene surroundings before spending the night here.

Day 08: Ride Marpha to Tatopani (1,300 m) Approx. 50 km | 3 hours

Today’s ride takes you to Tatopani, a town famous for its natural hot springs. The journey is relatively short, and upon arrival, you can unwind by soaking in the therapeutic hot springs, which are said to relieve muscle pain and fatigue. Surrounded by mountains and lush greenery, Tatopani offers a tranquil setting to relax and rejuvenate after your long rides. Take your time to enjoy the hot springs and the peaceful environment before retiring for the night in this serene village.

Day 09: Ride Tatopani to Pokhara (827 m) Approx. 105 km

Ride back to Pokhara, passing through lush hills and scenic river valleys. Once in Pokhara, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the lakeside area, perhaps with a boat ride or a visit to the World Peace Pagoda for panoramic views of the mountains.

Day 10: Free Day in Pokhara

Today is all about leisure and adventure. Explore Pokhara at your own pace – go paragliding, zip-lining, or bungee jumping.
