Langtang region is one of the nearest trekking areas of Kathmandu. it lies 19 miles north. It is a narrow valley that lies near the south Tibetan border. This region has similar culture with Tibetan and Taming ethnic groups. Very few people walk on this trail. This is the most affected area during the 2015 earthquake.
On this Langtang region trek, you will get to enjoy the most panoramic views of the Langtang range. You will also get the chance to see the fascinating culture of Nepal’s Tamang natives. Most of the locals are the descendants of Tibetan living together. They also called themself sherpa but has different festival than Sherpa of Everest Region. Their daily lives include farming, animal husbandry, and Tibet-based Kerung trading.

You can also visit the Gosaikunda Lake in Langtang Region. This lake has a huge belief among Hindi and Buddhist devotees. Lots of locals also visit this place. During the festival of “Janai Purnima” Shamans from all-around gathers here. It is one of the biggest festivals in Langtang valley.
